We’re halfway through the year. Let that sink in. Six months have gone by. Six months of opportunity, of conversations, appointments, listings, contracts, and growth, or six months of excuses.

And here’s a reality nobody wants to hear: most agents are dealing with the exact same problems they were dealing with in January.

Not enough leads. Not enough closings. Inconsistent income, stress, anxiety, and the constant question of where the next check is coming from. The crazy part? They know exactly what’s causing it, and they do absolutely nothing about it. Year after year, it’s the same revolving door, same habits, same excuses, same conversations, same results.

I’ve heard the stories, and most of them are excuses. I don’t have enough leads. I don’t have enough support. The market’s tough. Nobody’s buying. The leads aren’t good. The commission changes are hurting us. Let me tell you something that might sting: your problems aren’t my problems. And here’s why. When I realized something wasn’t working in my own business, I made a move. I chose to get better. I chose to put myself in bigger rooms. I chose to align myself with people operating at a higher level. I chose growth over comfort.

That’s the difference. Some people spend their entire careers complaining about the environment they’re in. Others change it.

Stop being mad that someone else is getting different results. Of course they are, they’re doing different things. When you keep waking up and choosing the same day over and over, same habits, same circle, same mindset, same excuses, all you’ve changed is the date on the calendar.

If you want different results, something has to change. And here’s the part that matters most: nobody’s coming to save you. Not your broker. Not your team. Not the market. Not some magic lead source. It’s you. It always has been.

So consider this your wake-up call. Get up. Get moving. Make the calls. Learn the skills. Get around people who challenge you instead of people who make excuses with you. Invest in yourself. Raise your standards.

Because here’s what I know for sure: December is coming, and 2027 will be here before you know it. The agents who put in the work now are the ones who treat this like a real business, not a hobby they show up to when they feel like it.

The question is simple. When you look back at the end of this year, will you be celebrating the progress you made, or will you be sitting in the same exact place, telling the same exact story, with the same exact problems? The choice is yours. It always has been.
