The key to boosting your productivity comes down to these two tips.

Are you really working a 40-hour workweek? As a real estate agent, you might think you’re working full-time, but there’s a big difference between being busy and being productive. Oftentimes, agents confuse the two and end up not hitting their goals. So what does a productive work week look like for a successful real estate agent? Let’s break it down.

Start by asking yourself these questions: What did you do last week? How many conversations did you have? Let’s say it was 20 or 30 conversations. How long did those conversations take you? Was it five, six, or eight hours? Let’s say it was eight hours of your week. What did you do for the other 32 hours within the week to make it a 40-hour workweek?

One way to determine how productive you are is to document every 15 minutes of your day. This activity will help you see the gaps in your day and how much more productive you can be.

“It can be easy to confuse being busy with being productive.”

The fact is, we all have the same 24 hours in a day, but successful people break their days into three parts: their mornings, their afternoons, and their evenings. They accomplish in the morning everything that most people accomplish in a whole day. Then they move on in their afternoons and accomplish what they had set out for the day. In the evenings, they spend time with their family or accomplish other tasks.

So, if you want to get more out of your 24 hours, break your day into three different segments and watch your success grow. Remember, if you have any questions about how to get more out of your workweek or the business of real estate in general, please feel free to reach out to me by phone or email.
